この庭は、観光地近くの自然豊かな郊外に建つ個人邸のため庭です。ゆるやかな起伏と雑木の植栽に囲まれた敷地は、四季折々の光と風を受けて表情を変え、まるで森の中の隠れ家のような佇まいを見せます。コナラ、ヤマボウシ、アオダモなど、在来の雑木を中心に構成した植栽は、季節の変化や野鳥・昆虫との出会いを日常に届けてくれます。木漏れ日の中で静かに過ごせるこの空間は、都市の喧騒を離れた癒しの場。木製車庫は、周囲の景観と自然に溶け込み、住まいの顔となる場所に。構造材には国産材を使用し、耐久性と意匠性を両立させています。敷地の高低差には自然石を用いた石積みを採用。庭に力強さと安定を与えています。石と土が呼吸できる構造にすることで、土中環境を健全に保っています。窓を開ければ風にそよぐ葉の音が届き、デッキに腰かければ草木の香りと土の匂いに包まれるそんな自然との静かな対話が日常にある庭です。
This garden is part of a private residence located in a natural, suburban area near a tourist destination. The gently undulating grounds, surrounded by a variety of trees, change their appearance with the light and wind of each season, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a hidden retreat in the forest. The planting, centered around native deciduous trees such as Japanese oak, Japanese maple, and Japanese ash, brings the changes of the seasons and encounters with wild birds and insects into daily life. This space, where one can quietly spend time in the dappled sunlight, serves as a healing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The wooden garage blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, becoming a focal point of the residence. Domestic timber was used for the structural materials, achieving both durability and aesthetic appeal. The elevation differences in the site are addressed with natural stone masonry, adding strength and stability to the garden. By creating a structure where stones and soil can breathe, the soil environment is maintained in a healthy state. Opening the windows brings the sound of leaves rustling in the wind, and sitting on the deck envelops you in the scent of plants and the earthy aroma of soil. This garden offers a quiet dialogue with nature as part of daily life.
